Facility Management

Está todo limpio!

Oh, estuvo lloviendo durante el fin de semana, seguramente han entrado muchos visitantes en el museo. Oh – another rainy weekend, I bet the museum had no end of visitors. It’s early Monday morning. Approx. 15 000 m2 of floorspace is waiting to be cleaned. The 2,500 weekend visitors have left behind a trail of paper, dust and footprints spread across carpets, marble, parquet and synthetic floors. And the studios and offices need to be cleaned spic and span too. Vámonos, vámonos! The whole of Monday is devoted to cleaning and tidying the three large wings of the building, and during the week until ten, when the museum is closed to visitors. Great care is taken to clean around the artworks, and when it becomes necessary the sculptures, display cases and other fragile objects are removed by specialists from other departments and replaced afterwards. Hans-Ruedi Lattmann, Head of the team, organises the events and work for members of his team. He ensures that outside organisation that hire the rooms are familiar with the technical equipment and that their events pass off professionally without a hitch. He operates the microphone during speeches, he…
Someone is ringing.
Buenas noches.
