Kunsthaus Zürich

The curators

These are the curators: Christoph Becker, Tobias Bezzola, Philippe Büttner, Bice Curiger, Mirjam Varadinis and Bernhard von Waldkirch. They put together the Kunsthaus programme and catalogues, stage exhibitions, and on top of all this maintain contact with museums throughout the world on all matters relating to art. Philippe Büttner is responsible for the large Collection of the Kunsthaus. Tobia Bezzola has created a reputation for himself with exhibitions of classical modernism, photography and video; Bernhard von Waldkirch works in the department of drawings covering everything from the old masters to modern art; Miriam Varadinis specializes in contemporary art on paper while Bice Curiger’s work focuses on contemporary art projects, and Christoph Becker is to produce exhibitions on 19th and early 20th century art. Alongside the medium and long term planning of projects the curators have also made it their task to nurture, develop and extend the Kunsthaus’s international collection.
