Conservation and restauration work
As a result of being exhibited outdoors for decades, in the so-called ‘Miró Garden’, the sculpture’s original patina has been extensively damaged. Almost the entire surface is badly weathered and the countless vertical traces of corrosion severely affect the readability and clarity of the work. In fact, the patina has only been preserved in a few areas that were less exposed to the elements./p>
In addition to the gentle and painstaking cleaning of the badly structured and uneven surface of the sculpture, conservation and restoration measures will include extensive retouching. Finally, the application of a suitable multi-layered protective coating, will preserve the surface and protect it from the effects of weather.
