A steel support construction was necessary in order to safely move the sculpture by three meters on the Heimplatz. This support system represented not only the necessary means of stabilization, but was also constructed in a way that permitted for the Gates to be pulled forward. This principle enabled the experts to move the structure without having to lift it with a crane.
