On this detail example at left, the previously described stages of conservation and restoration are clearly visible. On the right side of the face the individual stages were performed individually in order to better exemplify the individual steps. In comparison, on the left side of the face the condition has been left unchanged and in its original state.
Here layers of rust and corrosion have been removed. In the green areas the original patinas have been lost.
This image shows a detail after the application of Incralac® to stabilize porous layers.
With the application of touch-ups, as they can be seen here, the missing patina has been replaced and the image of the sculpture as a whole has been unified.
This photo shows the last conservation measure performed: The protective layer of wax has been applied. Now the bronze also has its protective coating.
