Panel on transtemporal experiences in museums with Ann Demeester (Director Kunsthaus Zurich), Rosa Barba (artist, ETHZ), Sabine Folie (Director of Art Collections, Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) and Marc-Olivier Wahler (Director MAH, Geneva)

Points for discussion will include: 'How can the public’s attention be caught for complex historical contexts', and 'Why should strictly chronological modes of presentation be challenged by more associative, thematic ones'. These are methods in the realm of Aby Warburg that have also been developed individually by artists. Characteristic to them all is the strength of association, subjectivity and bodily experience that enables a more immediate access to art. Forum about time (experiences) in museum collections (EN/DE), with Ann Demeester (Director Kunsthaus Zürich), Rosa Barba (artist, ETHZ), Dr Sabine Folie (Director of Art Collections, Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) and Marc-Olivier Wahler (Director MAH, Geneva), moderated by Kunsthaus-curator Cathérine Hug.
