Panel discussion on Kerry James Marshall: Perspectives from an Afro-diasporic community.

The panelists will discuss such questions as: How does Kerry James Marshall’s oeuvre challenge Western notions of art in the framework of his current show, but also elsewhere in Europe and in the US? What new directions does Marshall set for the Swiss art scene, but also the Afro-diasporic community in general?

With Yvonne Brändle-Amolo (artist, producer, activist and politician), Lamar Hawkins (film director and producer), Cathérine Hug (Art Historian and curator Kunsthaus Zurich) and Dieter Roelstraete (philosopher and curator University of Chicago), moderated by Tallulah Patricia Bär (AfroSwissters, The Swiss Pan African, Black Future Week).
